Tahoe and Me

This is Tahoe. For everybody who knows me, it will come as no surprise that my first post is about my dog. He is the best! This coming weekend will be the anniversary of the trip up to the big Lake to get him. As it turns out, getting a dog is one of the best decisons I have ever made. Tahoe is so sweet and beautiful! I was admiring him one day, and it struck me what a miracle all life really is... He was formed from a couple of cells and developed into who he is today in such a short period of time! He is so gorgeous! Sometimes when the light shines on him just right, his coat looks like spun gold. I know beyond a doubt that Tahoe is really special, and that God made him especially for me to enjoy! I liked what John Grogan said at the end of his book about Marley... "What I really wanted to say was how this animal touched our souls and taught us some of the most important lessons of our lives. A person can learn a lot from a dog, even a loopy one like ours. Marley taught me about living each day with unbridled exhuberance and joy, about seizing the moment and following your heart" I hope for many more years with Tahoe, and I vow to follow his lead!

I love every Tahoe dog picture. I am not a very macho guy when it comes to dogs, just a sap that feels like he often better relates to the canine beasts than the human beasts. By the way, you couldn't have paid me to see Marley and Me with another dude, because I was fighting off the tears like a madman. The inside of my sweatshirt was quite damp from wiping of the "moisture" mysteriously originating from my eyeballs....
