New Tile

Before...
And After...

My dad recently tore up the carpet in my entry way from the garage and replaced it with tile. It looks SO nice! Tahoe loves it too because this is where he sleeps, and the natural stone is really cool to lay on. He posed nicely for a picture here to show you how much he likes it too!
My dad did a really good job! This was the first time he had ever laid tile! He is the best dad! He does so many things for me, I couldn't even begin to list them all!

Potential

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the moon walk... I like this video! Every life does have potential for great things according to God's plan!

Sense of Humor

Me and my dog have a very special bond, and God must have a sense of humor! I took Tahoe to the vet today because his belly was really inflamed and red like a sunburn, and he has been licking it the last couple of days. I thought he had fleas or some other type of insect bites that was causing him all sorts of itchiness. No. He is just itchy like his mama. Reason? Some type of unknown allergy! We now take the exact same medication. I am not making this up! This is real life, and it can't get any funnier than this!

Cousins

Me and Tahoe have cousins. Their picture was in the Press-Enterprise today! Here is my cousin Leslie with Junior. We both own very photogenic dogs. It must run in the family!

Junky Car Club

This guy is really inspiring when it comes to keeping material things in perspective...

I read about this in a magazine today. I think I want to join as soon as my truck becomes a clunker... don't know how long that will be, but as with all things, it is inevitable!

Sundays

I've made a new mid-year resolution that I am really going to try hard to follow!
I am going to have Sunday be a day of fun, rest, and relaxation. I'm so accustomed to trying to cram errands, yard work, laundry, and housecleaning into my weekend that a lot of times it feels like I didn't really have a day off. I've come to realize that this is why God set it aside as a day of rest and holiness. (Exodus 20:8-11) He wants to keep us sane! So with this in mind, I'm going to let things go that really aren't all that important... If my house is clean on Sunday, 2 days later it will be thrashed again anyway! Sunday will now be the day without drudgery or time schedules. I want to make it a day filled with simple things and enjoyment. From now on, I am going to REALLY look forward to Sundays!
