Gran Torino

Well, it's a 1970 Chevy Malibu... This movie was really good! I love Clint Eastwood! My dad is like Clint Eastwood in this movie in a few ways, so it made me laugh. First of all, he owns lots of tools and is really handy at fixin' stuff! He fixes all kinds of stuff for me around my house... he is REALLY, the best dad! Second, he has this car that he completely restored himself ( I am so proud of him!) It is a car that has been in our family since it's inception. It was purchased new by my uncle, then owned by my grandparents, then given to my mom, then given to my sister... I even drove it to high school for a short time before all the work on it began. It used to be rusty, but now it's shiny and new! Like Clint Eastwood, he polishes it up and sits on his porch and stares at it... Last but not least, just like Clint Eastwood, he keeps a rifle by the door in case someone trys to steal it! I love my dad!

Gran Torino was an amazing movie. Saw it twice, and I actually laughed a ton both times. I saw it on XMAS with my folks, and my dad said, "Vintage Eastwood". Anyway, I hope your dad is a bit more open-minded and less racist than our beloved Clint....

Looks like pops is posing at the corner of El Cerrito and Canyon Crest. Curious location. Dare I ask why?

This is why I said he was only like him a few ways and listed them... He is more like the real Clint Eastwood!

Oh... El Cerrito and Canyon Crest yes! You are very perceptive up there in Sacramento! Reason? Ice cream! It is the parking lot for Cold Stone.

I agree that movie was awesome. That movie reminded me alot of my dad also. Some of the same things you metioned about your dad. Our dads are alot alike. I love your dads car. I remember eveytime i went over there he had done alittle more to it each time. When are we taking it to the beach?

That would be fun, but it would be too much responsibility even if he let us!
